Mr. Healy is a shareholder at Butz Dunn & DeSantis where his areas of practice include complex civil litigation, professional liability, commercial disputes, employment and wrongful termination, and environmental litigation. His professional liability practice includes representation of attorneys, accountants, architects, and engineers in a wide range of matters.

Representative Matters

• Represented numerous structural and civil engineering firms in litigation arising out of large residential and commercial projects in Southern California involving allegations of FEMA violations, inadequate drainage plans, failing retaining walls, and delay damages.
• Represented numerous geotechnical engineering firms in litigation resulting from Caltrans, commercial and residential projects.
• Represented architectural firms in numerous lawsuits resulting from commercial, residential, and public works projects involving allegations of design errors, cost overruns, and delay damages.
• Represented various design professionals in litigation involving personal injury, property damage, and delay/acceleration claims.
• Regularly advises numerous architects, engineers, contractors and construction management firms in the negotiation and drafting of various agreements.
• Represented numerous San Diego and Orange County law firms in connection with claims for professional malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty and conflicts of interest.

Mr. Healy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Brandeis University in 1985 and graduated Cum Laude from California Western School of Law in 1992.
